This may be another reason I am seeing good results with 2 lbs radish mixed in the wheat seed.

When the radish sprouts, their root exudates give off a gas that causes nematodes to die. I think it is because they over reproduce and then there is nothing for the new hatch to feed on. Don't hold me to that but something is going on to get a consistent 12 bu increase in wheat yield with radish sown with it.
