Agree that with wheat or corn not a problem on an annual basis. The biggest problem with bindweed is longevity of seed in soil, weed science dept at NDSU estimates bindweed seed has a viability in the soil os 5 to 25 years . So it can keep popping up for a long time on land that has been neglected.
