Hagen Brothers farms,Goodrich ND | When we get to using the air reel I will post the results. just a few things that I picked up from reading the Crary op manual is that close operator attention is necessary for the air reel to do it's best job. The op manual says that you should never have to open the blower butterfly valve fully open where the blower can take as much as 20 hp. At a lower setting it will take only as much power as needed to move the selected volume of air.It says to adjust the nozzle position and air flow for just enough to blow the crop from the cutter bar to the auger. Anything more takes excess power, overloads the blower gearbox and blows crop and dirt over the rear of the header and on top of the auger where it can be thrown over the front or rear of the header. There are control switches mounted in the cab to operate small electric jackscrews to adjust the nozzle angle and blower butterfly valve. |
