Our rates just went up 4.5% . It was explained weak demand for electricity has pushed rates up . All the new wind generated power is having trouble finding a home . Our local rate is now .06845 per kw with a $14.00 base fee , So 1000 KW cost s14 +$68.45 for a charge of $82.45
Wind power is expensive @2x of what coal and water is .
