north central indiana | We changed three 35' Hydra-flexs over to the SCH sickle bars, guards and roller guides and love them. NO MORE BROKEN GUARDS. We used to break the gaurds and sickle sections all time on the Junk dura twins. Hardley any morning maintance on the heads with SCH. We were very impressed with the SCH. Rn these heads over about 6 thousand bean acres a year and our guard and section bill was pretty rediculous at the end of the year, we probably did not break 4 guards total this last fall. Any more questions just ask. And good luck with your choice. Also I am in NO WAY a salesman for SCH. These sickle bars just work good. The Dura junks and JD gaurds did not have enough room for the corn stalks to get into the cutting part of the sickle. ALways LOOKED SCABBY on the NO TILL fields we cut. Conventional tilled beans seemed to be allright with the dura junk but we still broke gaurds and sections all the time. |
