I'm not very good with math either but I think .03 of a foot is 0.36 inches. Here is equation (with dimensions) I used to figure it out.
0.03xfoot x 12 inches/foot = 0 .36 inches
Using dimensions always helps, it checks equation for dimensionally correct answer (inches in this case). I used Microsoft power toy calculator to multiply and divide, I have forgotten how to do that with pencil and paper.
