I bought this little 900W B&S @ local Farm & Fleet a short time back. I think it was $387. I'd say it's as quiet as most Hondas I've heard....but I guess you'd have to put them side-by-side for sure. I think it would work for your application. Sure is easy starting. Other poster is right...I believe it may have Mitsubishi engine...but it says B&S in parts breakdown. It's not like the B&S weedcutter engines we grew up with though.

Again-I'd say it's quiet (that's why I wanted it!), but I probably wouldn't want it running in pup tent w/me @ night.
