How do you plan to "hook it into a Trimble system" for EZ-Steer? That's news to me that Topcon has this capability. As far as we know, Leica has reversed engineered the EZ-Steer controller to use the electgric motor and does not use the gyros in the EZ-Steer. Topcon, to our knowledge has not reverse engineered the EZ-Steer and cannot connect the EZ-Steer to the PCS-100.

The fact that Leica is probably not using the high performance gyros in the EZ-Steer controller might cause some to be concerned, because it is the more effective ues of the gyros with the EZ-Guide 500 that produces such good steering results with the EZ-Steer 500. From an engineering point of view it is a lot easier to reverse engineer an acuator like an electric steering motor than it is to reverse engineer gyros and accellerometers.
