SW MN and Gold Canyon AZ | I see alot more soybean acres next year. The corn on corn acres are going to soybeans. If the spring is late spring wheat acres will go more soybeans. Lots of acres of corn was planted in ND last year. Most don't plant wheat after corn. South dakota looks to be more soybean acres. If the price of soybeans is the same as spring wheat and fertilizer prices are high the vote goes soybeans. Have had alot of farmers even asking about beans on beans variety recomendations. That tells me more acres of beans.
In my SW MN District, sales of soybeans are larger than last year ,hinting more acres.
I'm planting more corn than beans next year again for the second straight year. My soybeans sales tell me to plant corn.The net $ also tell me to do so. Already have all inputs bought so marketing is the only thing I have to worry about.
