Figure around $40 per ton on litter plus irrigation/fertigation expense and that would cover most of the non-normal costs.

Cupps...south of Kip across the line is some land treated with yrs of municiple sludge....3500 lb M3 P at alfalfa establishment now about 2700 after say 7-8 yrs production.....that is the highest soil test I KNOW of in this area. The alfalfa looked and yielded well with good quality despite dryland, low pH and low levels of some nutrients.
