IMHO the ground around springfield is better, I farm a place on the west side of springfield and it is probably the highest CEC soil compared to its drainage class, that I farm
Newtonia silt is very well drained but lacks CEC, but it sure likes that irrigation. if you find something with some CEC and WHC around here its usually a nightmare to farm but not that ground around springfield.
