Grandpa taught me don't let them call you a grower. It's short for contract grower which looks like many have turned out to be!
Any group that didn't like the name farmer was not a good group for me to be around but the loss of affection for the term discussed here is sad and shocking.
This sure isn't my grandpa's world anymore either. The enemy is not so clear as it was in 1915 and 1940.
