Subject: RE: "Man I'm glad I didn't buy that ground"

Many said that who bought ground in the late 70's and early 80's. My dad passed a farm at 600, 1000, & 1600, bought the farm when it was in CRP at 1200 amd was the only bidder. There weren' many bad purchases in the last twenty- five years, IF you could make the payments. There were plenty bad buys 30 years ago.

I have not bought a farm I regret, and all are worth much more than I have paid for them. I have turned down many, even this week. I have said "I am glad I did not buy that ground" I should hove bouth more ground. We all should have. But who can predict the future?

If land prices turn lower, I will be actively buying. If land prices continue up, I will purchase the right farm if it is for sale.
