FWIW....Most consumer research on the topic in recent years shows that the term "farmer" is still held in very high regard by the public. On the other hand, the terms "grower, producer, agribusiness-person" are viewed in a more negative way by the public.
Not saying that the public knows what we do, or where their food comes from, just quoting the research on terms.
Don't call yourself a farmer.
