Pilot Grove, Missouri | I think the point was that even though a planter may have more even spacing in the rows your rows are then farther apart. Example 4 seeds per ft of rowin 7.5 in rows vs. 12 seeds per ft of row in 30 in rows. The 30 in rows may have more even spacing but the rows are 30 inches apart. Where the 7.5 in rows may be less even in the rows the rows are only 7.5 inches apart. I have seen spacing somewhart erratic from a drill, but almost never a 30 inch gap.
