Subject: Decision is easy in a crop share lease.

Follow the Golden Rule. What the man with the gold, land, wants is what you do. If this lighter ground, I am thinking that you may be better off. We used to custom harvest for a guy who had sweet clover grow for a year. His lighter soils yielded very well, to the point we really thought there might be some effect. If this is cash rent land, ask him if he is willing to forgo rent for one year.
