Texas/New Mexico Stateline
It would take extremely wet conditions to bring this to a good crop from where we stand. I'm talking 3X average rainfall in March, April and May. Some of the better established could possibly make as high as 35 bu. just going by the green tillers that are left. Some that sprouted and died I don't think would make anything no matter what kind of moisture we get. Wheat pictured has very low yield potential due to not enough plants there. Also as thin as it is the weed pressure would also be severe with abundant moisture. If I could keep the weeds out and with good moisture I would seriously doubt it would make over 15-20 bu.

I should also add that on the CRP back to crops, part of the reason I decided to farm it was I would rather farm the land as opposed to farming the Government system. If it ends up being nearly a wash which was more profitable, I will feel better having farmed the land for 10 years.
