Subject: Confusion

Bow Island, Alberta
Tires---A 245/70R16 is 245 mm wide and on a 16 inch rim! Not sure how that system came to be.

I'm always confused when someone in the US says they spray 4 oz of a product. Is that 4 fluid oz (1/2 cup) or 4 oz by weight (1/4 lb). And why is pound abbreviated lb?

Our spraying rates are usually in liters/ac or g/ac. (even though the label says liters or grams / ha.). Eg label may say 2.5 liters/ha which is 1 liter/ac.
