Read your documents and look for anything about tennants rights. Look thru your signed disclosures. It sounds like it was sold without tennants rights.

You will own it and you should get to farm it but....if the farm wasn't sold with tennants rights and the tennents throws a fit, he could keep the land tied up in court and no=one would farm it in 2013.

My 2 cents: Don't say a word until you close on the property because that is your goal. Then I would approach the tennants and tell him that you will let him farm it but under a new agreement and then set your own rules. Bottom line, it will be your farm.
