N FLA | Last night I read on NAT about 30,000 of acres of corn in Vero Beach, FL. I know that area well from my previous job, so I'm highly skeptical, and any way 30% of a grove is ditches and water furrows, so there's that much less. Anyway, tonight at dinner, gentleman says some body is planting 5000 acres of corn near Miami. So I'm guessing the truth lies somewhere in between. Regardless, when someone thinks its a good idea to plant corn in Miami, they might be right about the big acres.
Please nobody get worked up about my comments I just found these two things amusing and wonder what the truth of it all is. Could be where the put in all the pivots @ Okeechobee for energy cane, and BP backed out. If any of you snowbirds get the real scoop, let me know. | |
