SE Nebraska | Cutting rates in half is never a good strategy. Then there are people in disbelief that we have Roundup tolerant weeds and wonder how we got there. Well, start half rating and killing only half the weeds... within a few years you've effectively selected out all the weeds that will laugh at a Roundup application.
Crop oils and surfactants are simply products that help the spray droplets deposit, spread out or cut through waxy leave surfaces. It is NOT a means by which to justify cutting rates. Roudup is something like $4/ac. Corn is still $5-7/bu. Cutting the rate in half and saving $2/ac will cost you far more than your $2 saved | |
