do a search on here for 'deep banding'. I plant peanuts so the diggers does a little mixing but I do worry about nutrient stratification. on AG PHD last week they said their deep banding caused organic matter to be higher at the 5 inch depth than the 2 inch> deep banding is alot more work though. m2cents.
