E.Central MN | Well its pretty clear that glyphosate has had a negative effect on human health here in the US. By increasing the efficiency of controlling weeds, glyphosate has lowered the cost of food production(at least it did in the short term anyway). Lower cost food has allowed food processors to lower the price of their products, and that has allowed people to eat as much junk food as they want while needing very little effort. The net result is an obesity epidemic. That never would have happened if everyone had to grow their own food. | |
