Plus you pay full retail for chemicals. So $7.5/acre is really more like $15-20/acre depending on chemistry with the markups. Surestart is $9 whole sale and to have it applied is $20 plus application if anyone is questioning my math. At roughly 60 acres/hour I can justify my own if I have time. If you don't have time, well, that's a different story. Timeliness is often more important than cost if you know it's going to be bad weather for a week.
