What kind of sunflowers are you growing? Oilseed, confection or birdseed, they all can have different planting rates.
Another question is row width, 30" or other. It was mentioned 16 K, that is too low in most cases, as they will be thin,
and you always drop numbers from seeded to a desired pop. Weed control will also suffer with thinner populations.
