WC MN | Be careful, I don't have any buddies who are "anti-glyphosate". I use glyphosate as part of my herbicide program. I use it responsibly and it never goes on naked. I am lucky that all my neighbor's who farm are responsible with their weed control as well and we all get a long well. The only problem we have is state funded land. Those "native restorations" are weed farms. Man I hate those.
I was merely stating that we grow more soybeans now than ever. With decreased rotation and increase in frequency, one has to assume there will be a higher degree of disease and insect pressure. The fact that today's yields are on par with 20 years ago doesn't reflect much more anything than in increase in insects and disease.
Beans yield good here if you are on CCB or CWB at a minimum. CBCB and you get yield drag. That extra year makes a difference. | |
