Wait a minute here. So you are saying they don't read labels and do not follow the law but somehow the herbicide is supposed to be responsible for ineffectiveness and potential environmental damage? I haven't been farming long on my own but I know chemicals somewhat well due to the nature of my day job. I'd love to see a chemist go after Sigma-Aldrich for irresponsible use of xyz chemical. I bet that would make it 15 seconds before everyone laughed at the offending chemist. Why should we be any different as farmers? We need to hold ourselves to a higher standard than put forth in your example. Ignorance is no excuse. The label is on the container for a reason. It is the law. Read and obey it.
