And this is the problem, I don't think Monsanto has proved their side.  Are you sure that their are no ill health effects occuring right now?  Universities will not challenge the Monsanto claims because there is no source for funds and would kill their cash cow.  Also with the patent, Monsanto has to allow testing to take place.  The Serilini study raised enough concerns that the test should be conducted so as to make it valid, one way or the other.  As Rhino said it is politics and money.
