Flat. If your dryer breaks down you can get more air on the wet corn. With a cone you will not get very good air movement. I have a flat bottom 24' and stuck an incline auger through the sidewall to the dryer. The auger is supported at the top by the dryer, in the middle by angle iron from 1 foot off the floor up to the auger. The bottom of the auger is supported by a stand that is removeable for when the bin sweep is in. I just run dry corn in the bin to start the season and then pull it out to get the cone bottom.
