Subject: RE: Hopper vs. Flat Wet bin

We used to have a flat bottom bin and converted it to a hopper bottom bin. Got tired of the corn in the cone spoiling even if we started with dry corn in there. Just a disaster. We put the hopper bottom in and have never regretted it. It's about a 9000bu bin now and we opted for a grain guard Rocket as an areation fan. The year we installed it, we had the shortages of LP and were down for a week. The rocket kept the corn in condition for a week until we could get LP and continue. Money well spent.
