NE S.Dakota | We have a 404 with a center mount mower, it is an old State road mower, pretty good little tractor. We put a clutch in it a couple of years back. This year Dad is mowing with and he calls me, says the clutch is out. I am thinking how can this be. I pull the cap on the bell housing and reach in there. There is a clump of mouse nest intertwined in the clutch pressure plate. I pull out all that I can, and blow out more. Still the clutch is making noise and will not completely disengage. I figure some of the mouse nest is down inside the pressure plate, and since the flywheel is a dish, it cannot get out. We ran it this way for a while, but I am afraid we will have to split it to get the mouse nest out of the clutch! | |
