A few years ago on the wheat harvest, I ran a sharp rock or something into the sidewall of my front combine tire. About a 4 inch slit. Don't remember the reason but it was gonna be a couple days before I could get another tire. In desparation, i stitched it up with a whole pack of tire plugs. It miraculously held up for the couple of days until I could get another tire. I think I happened to be on a job all by myself, I don't think I even told the farmer I had a flat tire.
