| I was bushhogging for someone about 2 hours from the house. The first day went good. Second day, got some haywire wraped around the output spindle and it took out the output seal. Luckily I caught it soon enough, so I put cornhead grease in the gear box. I babied it all day but the leak was getting worse by the hour. Third day, I put regular #2 grease in it (used a whole 35lb pale) but finally got the jod finished. I used $200 worth of gear oil/grease on that job and checked the gear box every hour for days but I had to do what I had to do to finish. When I got home, I pulled the stump jumper off and fixed the seal but I went back with JD corn head grease because it will buy you a little more time if you have a leak. On my hog, it's close to $2000 bucks for a replacement gear box.
