Subject: Re: Deere own Yanmar?

I have an 05' Ingersoll Rand 185 CFM air compressor that has a 4 cylinder Yanmar motor and has to be one of the best starting smoothest running small diesel motors I have ever been around, at that time you could get either a 3 cylinder Deere motor or the 4 cylinder Yanmar, and before looking at and purchasing it I thought it had the Deere motor and was actually disapointed when I discovered the Yanmar but after hearing it run decided to buy it anyway, and it has turned out to be a great motor and runs smoother/starts better than the neighbor's identical compressor with the Deere motor, personally thing an even number of cylinders make a motor run smoother.
