Someday I have to go see cane being harvested in person. For some reason the machinery used fasinates me. Thank you for posting those great pictures.
Looking at the pic with the harvester, behind the cab there is a hydraulic motor on top of another white plastic cover. Is that simular to a fresh corn picker, in that it has a fan with a set of leaf rolls??
