NW MINN | One thing to watch is BW with Gelbvieh bulls they tend to be on the large side. Nothing to be concerned with on mature cows but potentially a problem with heifers. I've had Gelbvieh cows and bulls for 25+ years and find that their overall disposition is pretty mellow. They should add growth and milk to an angus cowherd long term. As for the Gelbvieh Ass'n claims they are just like any breed ass'n the good points get hyped and the bad get overlooked. If your equiped to AI I would suggest you go that route first. | |
