Norton Co. Kansas/Furnas Co. Nebraska | I have found CRP to be a big waste of money. It is good for wildlife but so is rotational grazing on land unfit for farming. I was informed 3 years ago my sidehill farm already in CRP was not able to be put back in, it was part of a mandatory retirement. I was very angry at first that I was loosing the income, however after a few years of running cattle on it, getting out of CRP was the best thing that ever happened to me. Actually the grass stand is in better condition being grazed and hayed than it was when it was in CRP. |
