| We snare em with a 3/8 inch nylon rope, tie em to the fence and clip. If the show is two weeks away you'll want to use a 1/8 inch guard for the body, leave at least that much on the head but get closer on the lower part of the neck. Some shows have minimum hair length rules so read the rule book. As far as the judge finding the best pig regardless of whether or not it has been clipped, well, like it or not, clipping makes a HUGE difference and you will not be in the final drive if you do not present your pig looking his best, and clipping is just one of the things you have to do if you want to give your pig the oppurtunity to win. Good Luck. | |
