I am surrounded/next to 200 Acres of CRP. Have more pheasants than I care to have, but the owners allow few hunters. Have seen probably 200+ pheasants this fall/winter (1 group), and I have heard the neighbor and his hunting group shot somewhere in the neighborhood of 100 roosters.
