High Springs, Florida | Well, having operated a farm market for years, I have to say this, most city folk think their food comes from the grocery store, not the farm.
I'll never forget the time we ran out of potatoes at the market. This couple from the city wanted some, and I said, if you can wait 5 minutes, I'll go out back and dig some for you. They wanted to come with me. They were totally amazed when I stuck the fork into the ground and brought red potatoes up to the surface. They never knew potatoes grew underground. | |
