Subject: Pick-up won't start

Nance County, Ne

Came home this evening to unhook trailer from pick-up. Unhooked it and went to start it back up and it would not do anything. When I turn the key on the transmition says it's in 2nd gear when it actually is in Park. Could it be a sensor going out or what? 2003 Chevy 3/4ton automatic
