SE South Dakota | I probably had the exact same car as you. A very good engine except for the fuel pump at 90000 miles and the head gasket at 140000. The fuel pump repair was a broken plastic part but it needed the whole pump to fix. Like you said it got very good fuel mileage and I thought it had nice power. I think at the time diesel was lower cost than gas, which helped. It would start even after sitting outside in the coldest weather we get.
