NW IOWA | Thanks everyone. I guess I am glad he is gone. It hasn't been the easiest for him the last several years with his paralysis but he always had that happy look on his face (I called it his smile). So I am glad he is no longer suffering or in pain. I actually don't think he was in any pain until the last day, then I would say he was just very uncomfortable. I don't think he would have wanted to be put to sleep as he was a tough dog and was never a quitter. He was very happy up to his last day. He always had that excited whine/bark when he greeted me, pretty much up to the end. We will move on as this is life!!! God Bless. | |
