I helped my Dad do 1 tomcat, insert cat head first into a 5 gallon milk can and held him by the feet and held the tail opposite. Dad had sharpened his pocket knife a min. later and a splash of iodine (that did absolutly nothing to improve "it's" disposition) and we turned it loose. I'm with several of the others, package the cat in the carrier, leave at vet's office overnight and then retrieve sulky cat.
