southern MN | My town New Ulm, Minnesota - just had a couple of their traditional celebrations. More to do with filling hotel rooms and local economy, but based on old traditions, Bockfest outdoors at the local brewery during the day and Fasching was held at a couple different locations in the evening.
Now our winters can be a tad more severe here than in Germany, but they got pretty good weather again this year, close to freezing. Sunday we had blizzard watches, so folks got out of town in a hurry.
