Sunnyside, WA | I can't believe offset would matter much. If you are plowing with 6 x 18", then the tractor needs to move over 108" every time from the last pass. Maybe I'm missing something. Would be interesting to try out.
I had heard that an offset disk that might pull one foot either way would be more trouble than a plow. Going back and forth with an 19' offset disk not pulling from center would be moving over 20' one pass, and only 18' on the return pass. That would get a little confusing. But going in "lands" it would work just fine because you are always moving over 19' from where the tractor was last pass.
