![](/profile/get-photo.asp?memberid=575&type=profile&rnd=712) Central Kansas | '98 Dodge diesel.....batteries are getting old (1 is 5 y.o., other is 6 y.o.....installed by previous owner). I know I have read a thread here about glass mat and spiral cell batts as replacements for more traditional lead/acid batteries. Is it logical to replace these batteries with a more modern design inherent in the spiral cells? They are quite a bit more money so I was wondering just what the advantages are....and if they will pencil out to be cost effective.
While on these batteries....what is a good one to purchase? I see my local Bumper to Bumper has Optima batts....man!! those suckers are high. | |
