So I'm a gate newbie compared to all you guys so mind my ignorance. I'm getting ready to put up my first gate and I'm going to attach it to a railroad tie. I was looking at the hardware the gate came with and had a question. How do the threaded hinges go into the railroad tie? Do I drill a hole out or try to screw it them in?
