Subject: RE: Signs of the time

USA
Got a fax that effective Jan 14 ADM STL has raised HTA charges They are going to charge a prorated fee. Example Mar 08 corn no charge, May 08 $.02, Jul 08 $.04, Sep 08 $.06, Dec 08 $.08, and Mar 09 $.10

Beans Mar 08 no charge, May 08 $.03, Jul 08 $.06, Aug/ Nov $.09, Jan 09 $.12, and Mar 09 $.15

The farmer is going to end up paying a heavy price for the cost's grain companies have had to incur from farmer's selling too cheap and the amount of $ it has cost them to carry these contracts.

I would not be surprised, that in the future when a person wants to forward sell grain a 25 to 50 cent per bu deposit will be required on corn and a $1 plus per bu will be required on beans at the time the contract is written.
