If one is concerned about "chunks", you can drain from the quick-drain thru a paint filter with a magnet laying in it. Works fine.

We have quick-drains in everything....gas or diesel. I agree, I wish they were cheaper however. JD puts them in combines & their big frame tractors, but not the 8xxx stuff or smaller. Don't understand why not.
